Design Consultancy
NT CADCAM can provide Design Consultancy from degree-qualified engineers with many years experience in a wide range of design and engineering disciplines. We can assist either short or long term, working either on customers' sites or in our own offices. We can even provide our own hardware and software if necessary, giving the customer extra capacity when needed most. As well as helping you design your products, our engineers can also offer advice on the best methods of modeling them with SolidWorks in mind. We can produce robust, efficient models that are designed from the outset for easy modification to provide the basis for future designs, giving the customer the best starting point for developing new products with SolidWorks. Our Design Consultancy services are often used in conjunction with our Implementation Services. This enables the customer to maintain the required throughput of design while their Engineers are getting up to speed with their new CAD system. Having a qualified and experienced SolidWorks user on site during the implementation period to provide on-site instant technical support during the early stages of an implementation can have a very positive impact on the payback period for a new CAD system.

Implementation Consultancy
During the introduction of any new System, it is imperative that any disruptions are kept to an absolute minimum.
NT CADCAM has vast experience with the implementation of SolidWorks and its associated packages and can offer a complete package of services to make the transition to SolidWorks as effortless as possible. Prior to the installation of SolidWorks, we can offer an initial period of consultation in order to establish a methodology and timetable for the implementation. Once a methodology has been established, we can build and set up the hardware, handle the software installation and ensure it is configured correctly. We can train your staff, concentrating on the areas of SolidWorks most relevant to your business and help you get up to speed faster by preparing user guidelines, converting legacy data and configuring drawing templates, even producing and supplying entire part libraries. Any methodology that is developed during this consultation period can be incorporated into an intranet site accessible to all SolidWorks users from their desktop. This intranet site can also be used as a central repository for other company information such as quality procedures or employee handbooks. If necessary, we can maintain an on-site presence during the rollout of the system. This facilitates a rapid response to any issues that may arise, and helps to ensure the use of good modeling practice from the outset.

We offer analysis consultancy in finite element analysis, mechanisms simulation and computational fluid dynamics. These techniques have been applied in industries including automotive and motorsport, aerospace, biomechanics, scientific and research instruments and marine/offshore. All analysis work is carried out on a fixed price per project basis and ranges from simple one day design studies to long term collaborative research programs. With all projects, the emphasis is placed on ensuring that the customer gains the maximum understanding of the work carried out and the results, and quite often,a consultancy project may be used as the basis of a training program.
