PIPS wanted to move to a 3D environment in order to reduce the time it takes to get a product to market. They wanted a tool that would allow them to detail parts and assemblies and help their prototype division to visualise and minimise errors. They also wanted a system that would be easy to use as some users are not frequent users.
SolidWorks has allowed PIPS Technology to dramatically reduce their time to market process. It allows them to accurately and easily produce detailed models that assist the prototype makers to visualise how a model should be assembled
thus reducing error margins.
