Andy comments, “All the companies could offer the functionality we required. In summary, Pro/ENGINEER continued to work out to be expensive, with many features we required being considered as add-ons, attracting a purchase and maintenance premium each time; whilst Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks both offered excellent value. What won it for SolidWorks was that it offered a lot as standard in the box; the performance of features like eDrawing was exemplary; and the ease of use of SolidWorks.”
