Eschmann have been supplying high performance surgical equipment for over a hundred years and have a strong reputation with hospitals, local health care providers and dentists alike. They are the only major UK manufacture of operating room equipment and the market leaders in their principal ranges of operation tables and benchtop autoclaves.

Eschmann design team explains, "Operating tables are required to perform simultaneous movements of the tabletop and we were looking at ways to enhance our modelling of those multiple movements prior to building prototype table mechanisms."

Purchasing SolidWorks and COSMOSWorks from NT CADCAM has helped to streamline the design process at Eschmann. The sophistication of 3D modelling provided by SolidWorks means they are able to model full table movements on screen and produce drawings to enable manufacture of each specialist table with the close tolerances required for accurate control and movement in the operating theatre.
