Eschmann design team explains, "Operating tables are required to perform simultaneous movements of the tabletop and we were looking at ways to enhance our modelling of those multiple movements prior to building prototype table mechanisms."
Purchasing SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation from NT CADCAM has helped to streamline the design process at Eschmann. The sophistication of 3D modelling provided by SolidWorks means they are able to model full table movements on screen and produce drawings to enable manufacture of each specialist table with the close tolerances required for accurate control and movement in the operating theatre.
Eschmann chose SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation as the package offered an easy to use and competitive solution compared to other systems that they had been looking at. The demonstration given by NT CADCAM was not limited to a set presentation and the design team were able to ask 'what if' questions which were all satisfactorily demonstrated there and then. It was definitely the best value package from Eschmann's point of view. |
