Product Data Management (PDM Enterprise)
PDMWorks Enterprise is a sophisticated and highly configurable data management solution for SolidWorks and is capable of operating in complex single/multi-site environments, whilst controlling access for large numbers of users. The PDMWorks Enterprise assisted implementation is a flexible product, which aims to provide direct support for the system Administrators as they identify their design requirements, configure the operational solution, acquire the skills necessary to maintain the system, also implement the solution.
NT CADCAM provides a configurable range of standard and optional delivery modules, tailored to suit each implementation; a typical package is comprised of:
- Project Requirements Analysis
The top level audit conducted during the sales cycle, culminating in the Project Definition Document; listing all aspects of the proposed project and the deliverables.
- Project Management
The planned coordinated and timely delivery of all services, will mean the full benefit of each implementation module and quality of service is assured.
- Software Installation
Working with the systems administrators, the various PDMW Enterprise software components are installed and tested.
- Administration Training
The trainee’s will be taught all the fundamental skills and concepts central to successful and effective use of the software.
- System Design
A detailed system design audit resulting in the development and configuration of the operational PDMW Enterprise system, culminating in the pilot implementation.
- System Rollout
Migration of a validated pilot configuration to a production configuration and direct support to the system administrators as the system goes live.
- Legacy Data Capture (Optional)
The evaluation and migration of, suitable, existing engineering data onto the new system.
- Custom Application Development (Optional)
Design and development service, which provides unique automated routines to integrate PDMW Enterprise with existing corporate systems (ERP/MRP systems, for example).
The services encapsulated in the PDMWorks Enterprise assisted implementation product, are delivered by a qualified implementation specialist and will enable the system administrators to achieve a robust, efficient and secure operational solution in a shorter time than normal; ensuring enhanced productivity through accurate, reliable and efficient design data control.
Application Programming Interface (API Programming)
As the design teams skill and experience with SolidWorks grow, they will identify a host of repetitive tasks in the workflow. These repetitive tasks could form a barrier to improving productivity as the demands of the production schedule increase.
Our knowledgeable software programmers will develop user defined SolidWorks tools; these user defined tools are custom developed applications, designed to drive SolidWorks through the API (Application Programming Interface) and automate the repetitive tasks.
By automating repetitive tasks the potential barriers to improved productivity are removed.
