An opportunity has arisen for an experienced prototyping specialist to join the Minima team to lead and to promote prototyping activities for clients in a wide range of industries.

The role involves hands-on work including CNC machining of patterns, parts, moulds and jigs in support of the design team and also directly for external clients. Additionally, there is a requirement to undertake small scale injection moulding and spray painting as well as precision hand working skills such as silicone casting. The role is also responsible for maintaining equipment, managing supplies of stock materials, work flow and productivity while delivering efficiently under tight timescales.

To further enhance our design department, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Project Design Engineer, with a background in fabrication work and individual machinery design. The successful applicant will have ideally worked previously in a similar environment, in addition to holding a professional qualification in engineering. You will be responsible for the management & design of projects, and individual machinery design. You will see the project through from initial design to installation.

The position would suit a self-motivated, team player. A prospective candidate must be organised with good attention to detail and convey a positive attitude. Solidworks experience essential.

To work with a small multidisciplinary R&D team of technicians and engineers. This role is primarily concerned with sensor head development but there is some crossover into the development of the optoelectronic interrogator which, with the sensor head, forms the complete sensor system. Oxsensis also develops many of its own test and manufacturing facilities as ‘off the shelf’ rigs are not generally available.

The successful candidate will be required to progress projects from initial concept through to production using SolidWorks 2012, in addition FEA, using COMSOL, will be required to validate the designs.
Experience in SolidWorks and COMSOL preferred.

Enfield based sheetmetal fabricators specialising in point of sale and display work require someone to fill the roll of CNC Programmer / Estimator.

Ideally the person would have previous experience in this type of environment and be fully conversant with Solidworks and Autocad. Full training would be given on our Programming and Estimating software packages. The job entails taking customers drawings and preparing the flat blank programs for our CNC punches and lasers. As part of a small management team the role would include other aspects of the day to day running of a busy fabrication workshop. Hours of work may be flexible to suit the applicant.
